Chitwan “means “heart of the jungle”. Jungle Safari is the main holiday activity in Chitwan. The Chitwan National Park is located in the terai region & in the south of Nepal. The subtropical climatic conditions provide Chitwan for the diverse flora and fauna.

Chitwan National Park cover an area of over 93,000 hectares, there are 68 different mammals, 544 bird species, 56 species of amphibians and 126 fish species. In addition, national park is house one of the largest populations of Asian rhinoceros, leopards, bears, deer, monkeys, crocodiles and the last refuge of the endangered Bengal tiger. the Chitwan National Park has been included in the list of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites with the “Outstanding Universal Value” rating. The Chitwan National Park offers many different activities – from adventure to relaxation. Famous activities are the elephant back jungle safaris in the park, canoe trips on rivers, walks in the jungle and “elephant bathing”.
How to Get Chitwan
If you are travelling from Kathmandu or Pokhara then there is direct (non stop) flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur (Bharatpur is the nearest airport from Chitwan National Park) and Pokhara to Bharatpur. There are other options – by private vehicle and tourist bus (coach).
Jungle Safari Package Itinerary – Fly in & Fly Out
Day 01: Arrive in Bharatpur airport & Transfer to Chitwan Hotel.
Fly from Kathmandu to Bharatpur (nearest airport from Chitwan National Park). Transfer from Bharatpur airport to hotel. Arrival at hotel and check in then refreshment. After that you will be briefed about the hotel & its facilities.
Lunch Time
After Lunch starts Village Tour – Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle.
Dinner Time
Tharu Cultural Dance – Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or Slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Continue the jungle safari package
Breakfast
After Breakfast – Elephant Safari is most popular activities of 2 Night 3 Days Package Chitwan which offers an excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, bore, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home + on the way back one can enjoy the Elephant Bathing View.
Lunch Time
After Lunch – Few hours for rest
Starts Canoe Ride – Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial.
+ Jungle Walk and back to Hotel.
Dinner
Overnight in Hotel
Day 03: Visit Elephant Breeding Center & Drop off airport.
Breakfast
After Breakfast – Visit to the Government Elephant Breeding Center.
We will drop off you at the airport as per your flight time.
